"Good evening everybody, welcome to the Tallgrass Drifters Saturday night house party coming to you live from Tulsa Oklahoma. Thank you for inviting us into your home. Tonight'"s music is going to be kinda a Gumbo of Western Music styles. We gona kick this off with a mountain song about a minor'"s daughter by the name of Darlin Corry.

If you will, while we are playing just imagine in your mind, the days of the old west between 1865 and 1890 and the Arizona land scape with those beautiful purple and orange sunsets. Kelly, Before we talk about Osage County, can you tell us a little about yourself, Where did you grow up?, and I am kinda curious, how is it that you know so much about Old Time Country Music?

Kelly, how did you get involved with Visit The Osage and please tell us about the services provided by Visit The Osage?

Kelly, as you know a couple of shows ago we had Cody Garnett from the Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum on our show and we got to hear a lot of fascinating stories about Ben Johnson and other Osage County World Champion Rodeo Stars.
Can you tell us a little about the Western history of Osage County
MIKE2d:
As Kelly mentioned, Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio were just in Osage County visiting with cultural and tribal leaders to discuss Scorsese'"s upcoming movie Killers of the Flower Moon. Which is based on the book by David Grann.

Tell true story about Townes Van Zandt getting arrested in Austin and on his ride to the police station he overheard the two arresting officers talking in the front of the patrol car and Towns noticed that one had the nick name Poncho and the other was nicknamed Lefty. When Townes told the cops he wrote the song Poncho and Lefty, they didn'"t take him serious. After processing Townes into his jail cell, the jailer asked the two cops if they knew who they had arrested, and one of the cops turned and said to the jailer, "don'"t tell me his is the guy who wrote Poncho and Lefty, Yep !
